Pupil Assessment (Special)
Pupil Assessment (Special) has been designed by Longford Park School in Trafford to record pupil assessment data, it has become an essential part of their pupil assessment process as it is the only place where they can collect data from various sources so that pupil assessment data is in one place. By storing this data in one place it enables staff to analyse the data in a way that is easy to understand and identify for both under achieving pupils and pupils who have made excellent progress.
The following Information can be recorded:
Pupil Name, UPN, Date of Birth, Gender and Ethnicity.
Current Class, Current Year Group, Free School Meal entitlement, Looked After Child and Full/Part Time Pupil.
For each year the following additional information can be recorded:
Reading Assessment - Date of Test along with Word, Sentence and Speed Scores.
PIVATS Scores for each term for English, Maths, Science, ICT and PSHE.
Number of Incidents
Once the above information has been entered, the following are automatically calculated:
Reading Age at the Date of the Test.
Reading Age Difference to Actual Age of Pupil at the Date of Test.
Reading Age Standardised Score.
For each PIVATS Score the Level is also calculated along with an average for the year.
By having this information collected in a database means a variety of reports can be run to analyse assessment data, reports include:
Reading Age (Assessment Age).
Reading Age (Difference to Actual Age).
PIVATS (Score).
PIVATS (Level).
By using comparative data to analyse 'trends' Pupil Assessment (Special) provides a clear focus for school development planning and personalised learning programmes.
